Alexander started PHI Industrial Acquisitions´s operations and so far, he has led PHI´s acquisitions and divestments. His background is operational, having started various companies in the past, and has been involved in managing change at various organisations. Alex launched his career working as a consultant for IVC, S.A. and Deloitte Consulting in Madrid, before establishing his own company, Dooyoo AG, in 1999. Headquartered in Berlin, Alexander served as a Board Member until 2006. In 2004, as CEO of an online travel company, he was responsible for growing and eventually selling the company. He obtained a Bachelor in Business Administration from Boston College, and obtained an MBA at Harvard Business School.
Jordi has been involved with the management, development and growth of companies across Europe for more than 10 year, and has extensive experience as a Plant and General Manager in many industrial companies in Spain, France and Germany. Jordi began his career in Frape Behr where he held several key position. In 2002, he joined as CEO of GDX Automotive Spain and in 2004 was appointed as CEO for Southern Europe after the acquisition of the company by the private equity firm: Cerberus Capital. Between 2004 and 2006 he led the turnaroung of Southern Europe GDX Automotive. As founder of PHI Industrial Acquisitions has been involved in operational change and further development of several companies, including, among others, Oxiris Chemicals (formerly Degussa GmbH) or Capresa. Jordi is an industrial engineer from the UPC in Barcelona and he obtained an MBA from ESADE Business School in Barcelona.
Juan is involved in the analysis of potential acquisition targets and the divestment processes of our subsidiaries, since his incorporation in 2010. He is part of the due diligence and negotiation team and is also involved in actively pursuing new deals. Previously Juan has worked at the Transaction Advisory Services department of Deloitte for 4 years, preparing projects related to companies refinancing processes and to obtain finance to new projects. Juan is industrial engineer and he obtained an MBA from Instituto de Empresa Business School.
Jaime joined PHI Industrial Acquisitions in 2011 and is part of the M&A team. Previously, Jaime worked for 4 years at Deloitte, in the Private Equity Transaction Services (PETS) department in London and in the Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) department in Madrid, providing advice on Mergers and Acquisitions and debt refinancing. Jaime holds a Bachelor in Business Administration from the University of Deusto and an Executive MBA at IESE Business School.
Ignacio joined PHI’s M&A team in June, 2016 and he is involved in the analysis of both potential acquisition and divestments. Prior to PHI, Ignacio worked within the Coporate Finance division at EY, where he was involved in the advice of Mergers and Acquisitions and the Valuation of companies. Ignacio holds a Bachelor in Business Administration from the University Autunoma of Madrid and a Master in International Management (MIM) at the IE Business School.
Francesco has 15 years experience in management consulting, PE and general management. Francesco began his career in Marconi Communications, where he had marketing and finance roles. He then joined McKinsey & Company, where he led strategy and operational assignments for large multinational companies in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. In 2010 he joined JH Partners to help supervise the 2 Italian investments Frette and La Perla. He joined the management team of La Perla, first as head of strategy and finally as general manager. In La Perla, he led a variety of restructuring, brand identity and expansion initiatives. After the sale of La Perla Francesco joined PHI Industrial Acquisition to lead the fund’s business development in Italy. Francesco obtained a Bachelor in Business Administration from Pisa University, and has an MBA degree from Harvard Business School.
Giovanni joined PHI Industrial Acquisitions in 2014. He is part of the M&A team and currently works on the fund’s business development in Italy. Prior to joining PHI Industrial Acquisitions, Giovanni had a long and extensive experience in management consulting. He worked for a leading strategic consulting firm, where he specialized in: advising corporate investors and private equity firms on M&A transactions and post-merger integration activities; and preparing turnaround or restructuring plans – both operational and financial – for under-performing or distressed companies. Giovanni obtained an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, studied finance at Columbia Business School and holds an MBA degree from IE Business School.
Dir. Administration and Finance
Elena has worked in the financial department of companies like, Repsol, S.A. and Real Madrid, CF. In 2004 she became part of the S2G Team – Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu managing clients such as Banco de Santander for which she was involved in financial auditing, and in SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) and Garrigues Sport & Entertainment where she developed functions in business administration of property, real –estate and artistic holdings. In July 2007 she joined PHI Industrial Acquisitions as Financial Director for the holding in Spain where she also participates in financial due diligence processes. Elena has a degree in Business Administration granted by Alfonso X el Sabio University and a Masters degree in encyclopedic Financial Management.
Administration and Finance
Noemí Borrego Bernal started her career at Deloitte in the S2G Team (General management services) in February in 2011, working with clients such as Bankia, where she carried out auditing tasks, or Rovi Labotatories, where she developed accounting functions. In December 2011, she joined PHI Industrial Acquisitions as accountant, supporting the Financial Director in accounting, consolidation and auditing tasks. Noemí has got a Business degree from Extremadura University.
Administration and Finance
Arantza started out her career working for companies such as Tecnalia Ventures, Walnuters and Microsoft for the Central Eastern Europe area. In November 2015 she joined PHI Industrial as a member of the Finance department, where she contributes to accounting, administration and finance, in addition she supports the Finance manager with her numerical and analytical capacities for business. Arantza studied Business Administration and Management and an own tittle in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Deusto Business School.

Managing Director Bluesun Holdco
Rafael began his career in 1988 in the marketing department of Henkel. For 10 years he held various positions in the departments of marketing, sales and international coordination, finally assuming the direction of marketing for detergents. Later he led the marketing and exports of Mahou-San Miguel Group. In 2005 he joins Caprabo as responsible for marketing, quality and online business. Afterwards he joined the RACC as director of business affiliation. In 2011 it is incorporated in a draft Interim management as CEO of Grupo Escale (Andorra), and in 2013 assumed the general direction of the Alimentary Group Argal. He finally joins PHI in May 2016 as CEO of BlueSun Holdco. Rafael holds a degree in Business Administration and a Master in Business Administration from ESADE.
Managing Director Atrian Supply Chain
Antonio began his career in 2004 in the field of logistics operations and distribution in Hamann International, during his professional career at this company he contributed to its development and growth, participating in the different operational and commercial areas of the company, until in 2006 when he got actively involved in the merger process between Interspe and Hamann and renamed IHG Logistics Ibérica which was integrated months later in the Rhenus International group . In 2007, he joined the Managerial Department of the Logistics Division of SEUR, where contributes to the growth of the company, leading the management processes and reorganization of the business unit. In 2012 simultaneously assumes the General Management of the business units of Barcelona and Valencia. He joined PHI assuming the Management of Atrian Supply Chain in January 2016. Antonio is Forestry Engineer by ETSIAM of Córdoba, Master in Supply Chain Management by EMU, Master of Integrated Management in PRL, Quality and Environment and has made several development programs for managers at IE Business School and ESIC.
Managing Director Adisa Cooking
Angel has developed his career in different industries such as food business, the automotive aftermarket, consumer products and fine chemicals. He developed his career within business development, sales and marketing, always in a multinational environment. From 2007 to 2015 he combined its main job, Commercial Director at Mercuri International France with the development of business transformation projects as Senior Consultant. In 2011 he accepted the position of managing director for Southern Europe (Spain, Portugal and France) of the Dutch company Vege Motoren, assuming also the responsibility to expand their activities in South America. In September 2016 Angel joins PHI as Managing Director in Adisa Cooking. Angel holds a bachelor degree and a Master in Business Administration from the Staffordshire University and the ESERP Business School. He also holds a Master of Industrial and Quality Engineering.
Vicepresident of Operations
Manuel worked as a consultant in Andersen Consulting in Turkey, Spain and Andorra. In 2000, he was hired as the managing director for a Spanish company in Argentina dedicated to the production and installation of corporate image in where he was responsible for the restructuring process of the company. In 2003, he came back to Spain and worked as the maintenance manager of Ferrovial Servicios S.A. In 2004, he was hired by a Spanish group, as the Operations director in Peru of two plastic producers that were recently acquired, where he was responsible for restructuring both factories. In September 2007 he joined PHI Industrial Acquisitions as the managing director of CAPRESA where he is responsible of the restructuring process. Currently he supervises the operations of La Lavandera, Hitecsa and Adisa. Manuel is industrial engineer and he has obtained an MBA at Instituto de Empresa, Madrid.
LLUIS Mª MUNNÉ
Managing Director Covit
Lluís-María began his career in 1992 at Consultor. In 1995, Lluís-María joined the industrial chemical group Pymag-Curtin in which he developed different functions related to operations. From 2004 to 2008, he was CEO of the group’s main company and led a restructuring process including the merger with its main subsidiary company.In 2008, Lluís-María moved to Grupo Inversud (Real Estate sector in South America). He was in charge of the Peruvian projects. In 2010, Lluís-María came back to the industrial sector, joining the metallurgical company Isofix, S.L. Since august 2010, he works for PHI Industrial Acquisitions restructuring Covit, S.L. Lluís-María has Economics degree from Universitat de Barcelona and is an auditor.
Managing Director Atrian/Barlo
Ana has developed her professional career since 1993 in the area of consulting, and subsequently in the field of restructuring and business unit re-launch, in companies such as ENDESA (energy), TYCO ELECTRONICS (industrial), SOLUZIONA (consultancy and audit), APPLUS (consultancy and certification) and NEXGRUP (health services to companies). In 1999, Ana co-founded a services technological business, AliterNet, S.L., that she ran for three years. Between 2001 and 2010, she managed a business Division at Applus, and she was Business Unit Director at Nexgrup. Since then, Ana has specialized in the analytical control of costs, and the optimization of management processes, both in industrial and services enterprises. Ana is Industrial Engineer from UPC and obtained an MBA at ESADE.
Managing director Hitecsa
Guillermo began his career in the USA with Nordson Corporation opening market opportunities throughout Latin America. After opening subsidiaries in Mexico, Colombia and Venezuela he was hired by Franklin Electric to open an electric motor rebuild plant in Monterrey, Mexico. He then moved to Iltaly to integrate and restructure Coverco Srl (acquired by Franklin). In 2003 he settles down in Spain opening the European subsidiary of The Flood Company developing a comercial and agent network and setting up licensee manufacturing in France and Norway. In 2007 Guillermo joins PHI as Managing Director in ASM until its sale in late 2009. In March 2012 he returns to PHI as CRO of Hitecsa. Guillermo is an Industrial Engineer and has an economics degree. He also has an Executive MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management.
JOSE ANGEL RAMIA
Managing director Abelan Catalana
Jose Angel obtained degree in Chemistry and began his career in 1997 in the chemical sector in the field of environmental and quality management. In 2001 joined NEWARK Catalana, later acquired by PHI Industrial acquisitions to become Abelan Catalana, where he developed his career in different roles ranging from managing the quality, safety and environment, to Human Resources Director from 2007-2014, Quality Director and Sales Director until January 2016 when he was appointed Managing Director of Abelan Catalana. Jose Angel obtained an MBA at Universitat Rovira i Virgili from 2006-2008 and an Executive Development Program PDD at IESE Business School in Barcelona between 2014-2015.
Managing Director La Antigua Lavandera
Alvaro started his professional career in 1998 as a financial auditor and consultant at Deloitte Sevilla, and has over 11 years experience in management positions. In 2001, Alvaro joined the Caballero group to develop management control tools. In 2003 he joined the Ybarra Group where he held the post of management positions until 2008, date on which he joined the Consorcio de Jabugo (belonging to Agrolimen group) where he served as Deputy General Manager. Before joining PHI he served as CEO of Productos Machi performing a thorough restructuring. Alvaro holds a degree in Economic Sciences from the University of Seville and has completed an MBA at the Institute of San Telmo in Seville.
JAVIER ORTIZ DE ZÁRATE
Managing Director Intimus
For the past ten years, Javier has held various positions in the areas of Marketing, Sales and General Management at international industrial companies. In 2005 he participated in Proiek Habitat & Equipment start-up, a company where he worked as Sales and Marketing Director from its inception until 2010. In 2010 he joined the White Goods sector, serving as Marketing Director at Fagor Electrodomesticos Laundry Division, until early 2013 when he was appointed General Manager of the Heating Division. Javier holds a degree in Law from the University of Deusto and has completed a Master in Management and Administration of SMEs in ESDEN and an Executive MBA from the University of Deusto.
Managing director Abelan Paperboard and Packaging South
Simón started his professional career in 1992, as Export Manager at Zertan S.A., supplier of the Automotive Sector. In 1999 joined Newark San Andrés S.L., serving as Commercial Manager and lately as Deputy General Manager, till the acquisition of the European Division of the Newark Group in 2012, by PHI. In January 2015, Simón was appointed as Managing Director of Abelan Paperboard and Packaging South. Simón holds a degree in Business Administration, Master in International Trade and MBA at the Chamber of Commerce, Navarra.

Adam has been involved in restructuring processes for more than 20 years in all type of sectors and different countries. He started as a management consultant in 1993 for Walter Wallace S.A. part of the group HOWE International, Ltd. In 1999 he moved to Business Performance Consulting where he worked during two stages (1999-2001 and 2003-2007) carrying out review tasks in processes and management systems as well as carrying several diagnostic and improvement projects. During 2002 he managed the office of insurance brokerage Grupo Morera y Vallejo/ Multibroker International in Madrid. Adam obtained an MBA at Escuela de Organizacion Industrial (EOI) in Madrid. In 2007 he joined the Task Force team of PHI Industrial Acquisitions, performing process reengineering, cost reduction and increased productivity of the acquired companies.

Francisco has over 20 years experience in production and operations areas. He has held positions as Technical Manager, Production Manager, Operations Manager and General Manager in different companies in Automotive and Service Sectors. He has worked for companies such as Rockwell / Meritor, Valeo, Frape Behr and GDX. He has also participated in the development and operational restructuring of several companies. Francisco joined the team PHI Industrial in December 2011 at ATRIAN, currently holds the position of Operations Manager in Abelan South and collaborates on process improvements in different subsidiaries. Francisco has an Industrial engineering degree and a Masters in operations management and logistics.
Task force. Marketing and sales
Álvaro has developed his career in the area of marketing and sales. He is an industrial engineer and obtained a Master in industrial business management. From 1999 until 2007 Álvaro worked as a key account manager at Bossard, a Swiss multinational group. In 2007 Álvaro joined the chemical company Panreac as commercial director, including sales, marketing and innovation management. He has also worked in different sectors such as public illumination maintenance, gas distribution and manufacturing of plastic injection equipment. Since October 2012 Alvaro is part of the Task Force team of PHI Industrial Acquisitions leading projects in the areas of sales and marketing.

Carles is a professional of the finance area with a degree in Economics and Business Administration. In 1995-1999 he was cash supervisor at Tepsa logistics, a US-French joint venture of bulk storage of liquids. In 1999 he joined Telstar as controller and contributed to its growth by establishing new subsidiaries overseas. In 2007 he became corporate resources director in Telstar group in charge of finance, controlling, IT, legal, HR and M&A activities with global responsibility over 18 countries. He joined PHI in 2014. Carles is MBA by Instituto de Empresa, Madrid.
Task Force. Operations
Pedro is a manager with more than 20 years of experience in the Chemical industry. He has held responsibilities as Production Manager, Operations Manager, Site Manager and General Manager. The last 5 years of his professional career have been developed as General Manager in Oxiris Chemicals SA, first company acquired and divested by PHI Industrial Acquisitions in 2008, where he actively participated in its restructuring and sale. He joined again PHI team, in September 2014, as Operations Manager for La Antigua Lavandera SL, taking responsibilities for the two production plants, one in Seville and another one in Barcelona. Pedro has a degree in Chemistry, Industrial specialty, and a Master in Business Administration.

Manuel has over 20 years of experience in IT and business processes reengineering, designing solutions and leading projects for key industry leaders in multiple sectors. Industrial Engineer and Executive MBA, Manuel has developed his career in Consulting and System Integration firms like AT&T, Deloitte Consulting, KPMG Consulting and Unisys, serving in different leadership positions as IT Strategy Manager, Supply Chain Management practice leader and Director of Security Services and Solutions.
